How much does an appointment with an ophthalmologist in Lviv cost?
Below is the full price list of the Visium Clinic in Lviv: this is the clinic where I see patients. It contains both my own services and the services of other doctors of the clinic.
I personally carry out consultations and examinations, laser treatment of the retina and of secondary cataract, intravitreal injections, IPL therapy and botulinum toxin injections around the eyes. Laser vision correction, cataract and glaucoma surgery, vitreoretinal operations, paediatric appointments and blepharoplasty are performed by other doctors of the clinic. I manage patients before and after laser vision correction, but I do not perform the surgery itself.
Every section of the table is labelled: it says whether this is my service or the service of another doctor. All prices are in Ukrainian hryvnia and are shown in the table as “грн”.
What is worth knowing about the prices?
- All prices are in Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH), including on the English, Polish and German versions of the site. In the table the currency is shown as “грн”
- Full eye examination and consultation - 1000 грн, for pensioners - 700 грн, for internally displaced persons - 800 грн
- A consultation is an examination and a conversation, diagnostics means separate measurements: intraocular pressure, the fundus, the state of the tear film
- Botulinum toxin injections and IPL therapy are not in the published price list of the clinic: please ask about the cost of these procedures by phone
- The clinic works with the insurance companies PZU, AXA, Persha, Kniazha. Check the list with your own insurer before the visit
- An online consultation is paid to a bank card 24 hours before the appointment. There is no payment gateway on this site

A full eye examination and doctor's consultation costs 1000 грн according to the price list of the Visium Clinic. For pensioners it is 700 грн, for internally displaced persons 800 грн, and for pensioners with IDP status 650 грн. Why does the price list contain procedures that you do not perform?
This is the price list of the whole Visium Clinic, not my personal list of services. I publish it in full so that you can see the real amounts before your visit. Laser vision correction, cataract and glaucoma surgery, vitreoretinal operations, paediatric appointments, device-assisted vision treatment, night lenses and blepharoplasty are performed by other doctors of the clinic. I manage patients before and after laser vision correction, but I do not perform the surgery itself.
How much do IPL therapy and botulinum toxin injections cost?
These items are not in the published price list of the Visium Clinic, so no amount is given on the site, and I am not going to invent one. To find out the cost, call +38 (066) 916-57-23 or leave a request on the site. I answer personally.
Can I pay for the appointment with insurance?
The clinic works with the insurance companies PZU, AXA, Persha and Kniazha. Some of the services may be covered by your policy. Check the list of services and the conditions with your own insurer before the visit.
What does the final amount depend on?
On the scope of the examination and on the treatment method chosen. For example, the cost of cataract surgery depends on the type of intraocular lens, which is why the table has separate subsections for it. The exact amount will be given to you after the examination.
